Console (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch)

About Console Connections

Console versions of Minecraft do not have a native "Add Server" button. To connect to custom servers, you need to change your console's DNS settings to use BedrockConnect — a safe, community tool that provides access to a custom server list. This method is completely safe and reversible.

Important Notes

  • This method is safe and does not modify your console
  • DNS changes only affect network routing, not game files
  • You can revert to automatic DNS at any time
  • Server address to join: play.SurvivalRealm.com

Amethyst (Third-Party Launcher)

Third-Party Resource

Amethyst is a third-party open-source Minecraft launcher. It is not controlled or endorsed by Survival Realm. Use it at your own discretion.

Amethyst (a successor to PojavLauncher) is a launcher that allows you to run Minecraft: Java Edition on Android and iOS devices. This can be a great alternative for players who prefer the Java Edition mechanics and features but want to play on a mobile device.

Is Amethyst Right for You?

  • Best for: Players who own a Java Edition account and have a powerful mobile device.
  • Features: Full Java Edition experience, mod support (Forge/Fabric), and custom controls.
  • Note: Performance may vary depending on your device specifications.
1

Download and install Amethyst from their official source.

2

Log in with your Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition.

3

Launch the game and go to Multiplayer.

4

Add Server with address:

play.SurvivalRealm.com

Official Account Required

No Cracked or Illegitimate Clients

Survival Realm is EULA compliant and uses Mojang's authentication service to verify online account status. Cracked or illegitimate Minecraft versions cannot join this server.

How to Join Legitimately

  • Purchase Minecraft from official stores like minecraft.net, the Microsoft Store, or console stores.
  • Use a legitimate gift card or code from authorized retailers to redeem an account.
  • If you can't buy the game yet, ask family members or friends who already own Minecraft (and aren't using their account) about transferring access or helping you get a licensed account.
  • If you're unsure which edition to buy, start with the platform you play on most.

How to Revert DNS (All Consoles)

To restore your console's default DNS settings and remove the BedrockConnect redirect:

1

Go to your console's Network or Internet settings

2

Find DNS Settings and change from Manual back to Automatic

3

Save settings and restart your console

No Permanent Changes

Reverting DNS removes the custom server list redirect entirely. Your console returns to normal operation with no remaining modifications.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you entered the DNS addresses correctly, then fully close and reopen Minecraft. If using Wi-Fi, try forgetting and reconnecting to your network after changing DNS settings.

No. Survival Realm is EULA compliant and checks account ownership using Mojang's authentication service. You must sign in with a legitimate Minecraft account to join.

Verify the server address is exactly play.SurvivalRealm.com with no extra spaces. Ensure your internet connection is stable and that Minecraft is fully updated.

Survival Realm uses a dedicated port (8033) for Bedrock connections to ensure connection stability and crossplay compatibility. The default Bedrock port (19132) is not used for this server, so failing to change it will result in "Unable to Connect to World" errors.

Try switching your Secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1 instead of 8.8.8.8. If using Wi-Fi, move closer to your router or switch to a wired connection for better stability.

Yes. After changing DNS settings, fully close Minecraft (not just suspend) and reopen it. If issues persist, restart your console entirely.

Yes — this is still required on all consoles. BedrockConnect only helps with server routing and does not unlock multiplayer by itself.

  • Xbox: Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate
  • PlayStation: PlayStation Plus
  • Nintendo Switch: Nintendo Switch Online

Both are safe, free public DNS servers you can use as your Secondary DNS:

  • 8.8.8.8 — Google Public DNS. Reliable and widely used. Good general choice for most users.
  • 1.1.1.1 — Cloudflare DNS. Often faster with lower latency. Prioritizes privacy and doesn't log your queries.

Either works fine for connecting to Survival Realm. If you experience lag or slow connections, try switching between them to see which performs better in your region.
